Christian from Hawaii Adventure Portraits was ready for change. She had been working with an SEO company for months prior, with no tangible results, no collaborative process, and was generally displeased with their work. She was also doing a full website re-design with Palme Design Co, switching from Squarespace to Showit. Let's just say, it was risky business, and it was important that we not only preserve the SEO she already had, but significantly improve it!
Backstory
We started with keyword research and mapping to figure out what terms were actually being searched in her area. Then, we worked to strategically optimize for these terms throughout her home and service pages.
Then, we worked on fixing technical errors, which was a rather large task given that we were switching website platforms. This included setting up redirects and figuring out some website structure issues. I collaborated with her web designer and copywriting to ensure that everything was optimized, beautiful, and in line with Christians goals.
She was provided a link building and content strategy to continue building authority and grow her traffic.
It was crucial that we started with a full SEO audit, as she had been working on her SEO with a company prior. While they had been blogging and creating new pages with no clear keyword strategy, she had built up some rankings for a few keywords we didn't want to lose.
